为替换大量旧动车,东日本铁路公司于2006年末推出キハE130系新型内燃动车,新动车为单侧3开门设计。为不破坏大自然的风光,新车型注重车内外的色彩搭配,并采用环保型低排放柴油机和环保型污物处理装置;通过加宽车体、提高空调能力、增设轮椅乘降空间、建立无障碍通道、增设自动门以及电子乘车指南显示器等措施,提高了客服能力;通过引入监控装置,为单人值乘和检修作业提供了保障,减少了设备维护量。
In order to replace a large number of old motor vehicles, East Japan Railway Company launched the new engine of the ハ ハ E130 series at the end of 2006.
