一些社会人类学家认为,体育的主要功能是释放和发泄潜藏在人类本性中的攻击冲动,因此,这种“仪式化的争斗”也许是战争的某种替代物。按此逻辑,奥运,就是另一种形式的“世界大战”。

Some social anthropologists believe that the main function of sport is to release and vent the impulse to attack hidden in human nature. Therefore, this “ritual battle” may be a substitute for war. According to this logic, the Olympic Games is another form of “world war”.
