China’s Independent Developed Asia’s Largest Oil and Gas Platform Launched on the 5th On the South China Sea On May 5, the independently developed Liwan 3-1 natural gas integrated processing platform in China started its journey from Qingdao to the South China Sea and docked with Liwan 3-1 Deepwater Gas Field. The integrated processing platform is entirely self-developed and lasted for 21 months and was constructed by Offshore Oil Engineering (Qingdao) Co., Ltd. located in Qingdao Development Zone. The platform has a floating weight of 32,000 t and is the largest deep-sea oil and gas platform in Asia. It is understood that Liwan 3-1 natural gas processing platform is the upper part of the Liwan 3-1 deep-water gas field, mainly used for “processing” from the deep sea
