From the microecological point of view, the oral cavity is a complex and complete ecological zone, composed of many ecosystems, each of which may have biological and oral health and disease. Gingival amoebae trophozoites (EG) are the commensal EG parasitizing human oral gingival parts. In poor oral hygiene, the infection rate is very high, often with the inflammatory lesions of the gums or suppurative infection co-exist. From January 2000 to October 2002, we examined intragastric EG infection in 127 patients with periodontal disease and the results are reported and analyzed as follows. Materials and Methods: The group of 127 cases of periodontal disease patients, 63 males and 64 females; aged 35 to 55 years. Newly diagnosed patients, no other systemic diseases. 2 months without any treatment. Divided into four groups according to the depth of periodontal pocket: group I, 22 cases,
