To observe the long-term mucosal structural changes after acute sinusitis, the rabbits were divided into three groups: ① maxillary sinusitis was injected with Streptococcus pneumoniae induced acute maxillary sinusitis (18). ② Maxillary sinusitis was induced by Bacteroides fragilis-induced maxillary sinusitis (18). ③ control 4 only. After 3, 4, 8 and 12 weeks of induction, the lateral mucosa of the anterior wall of the maxillary sinus was examined by light microscopy and electron microscopy. Results: Streptococcus pneumoniae sinusitis, 3 to 4 weeks after infection, epithelial layer thicker than normal (22 ± 3.3μm), goblet cells interspersed between ciliated cells, not anywhere
