PetroChina has created another record high for its profit according to the interim business results released by the nation’s largest oil company on August 26. The net profit of PetroChina in the first half of 2004 reached 45.29 billion yuan, a 17.3 percent increase over the same period of the previous year. Meanwhile, the sales revenue reached 179.55 billion yuan, 21.4 percent from the same period of the previous year.
