黄河,是我国的第二大河。黄河流域是中华民族的摇篮,是我国古代文明发源地之一。但是,黄河在历史上又是一条多灾害的河流,给我国人民带来了极其深重的灾难。由于它穿越西北黄土高原时,挟带了大量的泥沙,到了下游,地势平坦,流速减缓,致使泥沙沉积河底,河床抬高,每到汛期,经常泛滥。据历史记载,公元前602年到公元1938年的二千五百四十年里,黄河下游共决溢一千五百九十次,大改道二十六次,
The Yellow River is the second largest river in our country. The Yellow River basin is the cradle of the Chinese nation and one of the cradles of ancient civilizations in China. However, the Yellow River is once again a multi-hazard river in history, which has brought extremely serious disasters to our people. As it traverses the Northwest Loess Plateau, it entrains a large amount of sediment. When it reaches the lower reaches, the land becomes flat and the flow rate is slowed down. As a result, sediment deposition at the river bottom and riverbed is raised. Flood flooding often occurs during each flood season. According to historical records, between 2,560 BC and 1,938 AD in 1950, the lower reaches of the Yellow River had a total of 1,509 outbreaks and a total of 26 departures.
