Philosopher Patricia Churchchin recently visited the laboratories of Hannah Damasio and Antonio Damasio, neuroscientists at the University of Iowa, to bring her work to a unique hope. The researchers in both sessions needed some support for their stock of “typical” brain computerized graphics. Churchill, a professor at the University of California, San Diego, volunteered to put her head into the lab’s image machine. The results A series of graphs showed that the philosopher’s brain was active, and Churchill said that Aristotle would be willing to sacrifice something of his own utmost importance for a certain need.
