The first international symposium on the exchange of drama, film and drama between China and Japan was jointly held by Dalian Municipal Bureau of Culture and Dalian Municipal Japanese Theater Research Association and was held at the Bangchui Island Hotel in Dalian from May 24 to May 26. More than 40 experts, scholars and performing artists from both China and Japan attended the meeting. Representatives from the Chinese Ministry of Culture, Chinese Dramatists Association, China Japan Art Research Society, China Drama Art Research Society and China National Opera Association Liaoning Branch attended the conference or sent a letter to congratulate them. Vice Minister Liu Deyou of China’s Ministry of Culture sent a telegram of congratulation, Dai Conson and Consul General of Japan Consulate General in Shenyang took part in the whole process of the seminar.
