2014年,央视在引进秒针网络监测,在原有电视直播的基础上,开启大数据全媒体收视评估,启用“全媒体收视率”新指标,对春晚全媒体收视传播效果进行监测评估。海外华人网络直播看春晚2014年春晚直播的全媒体收视率达33.15%,其中电视收视率为30.98%,网络直播收视率达2.17%(网络直播收视率是指平均每分钟通过互联网收看某节目视频直播的网民占全国观众的百分比),网络视频直播累计观看人数达1.1亿人。最高同时在线人数达1625万人,网民总收视时长为1.215亿小时,人均收看时长为66分钟。网络视频直播成为海外华人的重要收看渠道,其中,旅美华人网络看春晚人数最多。数据显示,在所有海外华人中,美国华人通过网络直播看央视春晚的人数最多,占海外总收视人数的33%,其次为日本和加拿大,分别占12%和9%。
