“建杂一号”是在原有薄皮西瓜的基础上进一步选育而来的西瓜新品种,是1981和1982年两年我们以薄皮西瓜为一方亲亲本与国内外引进的18个西瓜良种,进行大量杂交(1981年配置61个组合,秋季配置32个组合,1982年春季配置21个组合),经过两年试验测定,从中选出的最佳组合。1983年在本区各地进厅中间试验,经有关部门鉴定,一致认为表现早熟、高产、质优、可食率高。其主要特征特性是:
