Objective To explore the status quo of living events and emotional regulation among impoverished undergraduates and the relationship between the two. Methods A total of 190 impoverished undergraduates were investigated using the Adolescent Life Events Scale and Emotion Regulation Scale. Results ① The total score of life events was slightly less than 2 points; ② The score of cognitive re-rating was higher than that of expression inhibition (t = 0.252, P <0.01); ③ Cognitive reevaluation and learning pressure, punishment, loss, The other five dimensions of life events and the total score of life events were negatively correlated (r = -0.122, -0.178, -0.213, -0.177, -0.148, -0.198; P <0.05 or P <0.01), expression inhibition and life events There was no significant correlation between each dimension and the total score. (4) The predictive value of cognitive assessment on life events was -0.235 (P <0.01). Conclusions The stress conditions of life events of undergraduates are at a mild level. Impoverished undergraduates use cognitive reassessment strategies at a higher frequency than expression inhibition strategies. Cognitive reassessment is more closely related to life events than inhibition of expression. Reassessment of the stress intensity of life events have a certain predictive effect.
