美国是中东欧国家重要的贸易和投资伙伴。在贸易方面,虽然美国与中东欧国家贸易额并不高,但是双边贸易产品内容丰富、结构合理;美国在与中东欧国家贸易中处于逆差地位,这与美国外贸发展以及中东欧国家自身经济特点有关。在投资方面,美国是中东欧国家重要的投资伙伴,在中东欧制造业和证券投资领域具有一定的影响力;美国跨国公司通过在西欧的分公司向中东欧国家投资,导致美国在中东欧国家的投资额被大大低估。美国通过各种方式积极促进和维护在中东欧国家的投资利益,其在中东欧的投资面临各种有利和不利条件。研究美国与中东欧国家的经贸投资关系,可给中国有益的启示。
