获得邓小平同志书赠“教育要面向现代化、面向世界、面向未来”的北京景山学校,其实,从创校伊始就引世瞩目。1960年春,中共中央宣传部为了探索中小学的教学改革,创办了北京景山学校。可以说,她就是带着“专门进行城市中小学教育教学改革试验”的责任而来,带着“引领中国基础教育改革”的使命而来。纵观景山学校50年的办学历程,从办学宗旨、办学思想,到教育教学工作的具体政策措施,须臾不离“改革”二字。她每迈出的一小步,其实都是对落实“三个面向”的具体践行,都是对“教育家办学”的微观探索。北京景山学校在学制、课程、教材、教法、考试、科技教育、劳动教育等方面开展的一系列改革试验,在中国基础教育改革史上都具有里程碑的历史意义。
