For consumers, what factors influence their shopping decisions when they decide to buy or consume organic foods (mainly fresh organic foods)? Scholars are already studying this issue. The results of the study show that there is some contradiction between people’s attitudes and actual behavior, and people tend to be positive but often not buy organic food. This conflict stems mainly from the fact that consumers do not regard “organic production” as an important purchasing criterion. In addition, organic foods are no less common than the conventional ones in terms of taste and shelf-life (two very important qualities of food) The food has the superiority. In addition, the price of organic food is considered significantly more expensive than regular food is also an important factor. According to two Swedish case studies, people’s attitudes and behavior toward organic foods are closely related to their health benefits and exceed their positive environmental impact. A new EU project will investigate the impact of fresh and processed organic food and will investigate the impact of ethical, ethical and emotional factors on choosing organic food in eight EU countries.
