纽约专电 1991年元月6日傍晚6点30分,在美国西海岸城市旧金山加州州立大学陈立欧教授家中,早已聚集了一群中国人。到陈教授家中的不但有朋友、同事,而且还有两位专程由北京远道而来的客人。今天的聚会既不是晚餐,也不是舞会,而是大家翘首以待的7点正首次开播的电视节目。 对于72岁的主人陈先生来说,也许没有哪一天比今天更高兴了。原来今天是自称“老侨”的陈先生一手操办的首家专门介绍有关大陆情况的英语电视台彩虹台在美国正式开播的大喜日子。 陈先生介绍说,目前在北美,已有约10家电视台在纽约、华盛顿、旧金山、洛杉矶和多伦多等大城市播放中文电视节
