豚鼠的利什曼原虫Leishmania enriettii能为免疫豚鼠的血清所凝集,且可体外培养。这种原虫对耐酸性染色呈阴性,革兰氏染色呈阴性,但对吉氏染色呈阳性。经用盐水洗涤后,则变为革兰氏阳性,而吉氏及耐酸性染色为阴性。蛋白酶能使其表面结构破裂。该种原虫含有D-半乳糖、D-甘露糖、D-葡萄糖、核糖、脱氧核糖、N-乙酰基-D-氨基葡萄糖和一种不明的氨基糖。但无贮存的炭水化物、岩藻糖、唾液酸、N-乙酰基-D-氨基半乳糖。它能为刀豆蛋白所凝集,并以甘露糖为主要的糖。经低渗盐水浸出及分级离心法分
Leishmania enriettii, a Leishmania guinea pig, can be agglutinated in serum of immunized guinea pigs and can be cultured in vitro. This protozoa was negative for acid-fast staining, negative for Gram staining, but positive for Gesture staining. After being washed with saline, it becomes Gram-positive, while Ji’s and acid-resistant stains are negative. Proteases can rupture their surface structure. The protozoa contain D-galactose, D-mannose, D-glucose, ribose, deoxyribose, N-acetyl-D-glucosamine and an unknown amino sugar. But no stored carbohydrates, fucose, sialic acid, N-acetyl-D-galactosamine. It agglutinated with concanavalin and mannose is the main sugar. Leaching by hypertonic saline and graded centrifugation method
