OTT由来已久,是指互联网企业利用运营商的网络发展自己的互联网业务。OTT对运营商的冲击早已不是新鲜话题,但真正“刺痛”国内运营商的是微信的出现和迅速普及。挟QQ优势和自身业务特点,微信短短两年便拥有了3亿用户,以势不可挡的发展态势对电信百年来的主体业务形成严重威胁。然而,“微信问题”仅是国内运营商必须面对的挑战之一,从全球电信行业的发展情况看,运营商正逐步面临来自OTT企业的多个层面的竞争压力,企业的可持续发展遇到严峻考验。
