开展科技情报文献研究工作,主要在于搞清有关科技“情报源”的来龙去脉及其所含信息量的多寡,并就调查中了解到的文献特点,作出相应的分析评价。但是,在进行科技情报文献研究的同时,如果注意搜集调查有关参考文献及背景资料,还能从中看出一些“情报流”的发展动向,说明科技情报文献研究工作中也孕育着一些相应的专题情报研究内容。
