水坠法筑坝新技术推广以来,在陕北轻、中粉质壤土已建成15米以上水坠坝7000余座,高的已达70米。对建设山区,治理千沟万壑,修建高产稳产农田,有效地发展山区水利和控制水土流失起了一定作用。在关中高原沟壑区的重粉质壤土(粘土),能不能修建水坠坝?有人持怀疑态度,有些同志强调关中土硬修不成。为此,我们带着能不能修建水坠坝?修多高比较经济?在技术上应注意什么的问题,对在合阳、白水、陇县、乾县、凤翔、三原等县修建的25座水坠坝进行调查,并重点分析研究了十座水坠坝。
