微机控制的D/A转换器主要用途之一是作为波形发生器,这在许多文献中已有介绍。它的特点是利用软件编程的灵活性,可以容易地获得正弦波、三角波、方波、锯齿波等多种波形,但用来产生调幅波仍十分不便。为开发D/A转换器的功能,笔者针对DAC0832输入数字量与参考电压可乘这一特点,以无线电技术中斩波调幅的原理为基础,设计了单片微机控制的调幅波发生器。这种调幅波发生器利用载波所传送的信号(调制信号)可以是上述的正弦波、三角波、方波、锯齿波等多种波形,而且还可以通过程序方便地改变调幅波所传送信号的频率、调幅指数等参数。
