不久前举行的党的十四届二中全会指出,为保证改革开放和现代化建设的顺利进行,必须大力加强新形势下的思想政治工作。各级党委、领导干部、广大思想政治工作者务必十分重视。必须认识到,加快改革开放,发展社会主义市场经济,给思想政治工作提出了新的更高的要求。思想政治工作必须加强,决不能放松和削弱。加强新形势下的思想政治工作,最根本的是要认真学习、宣传党的十四大精神,把全党和全国人民的思想统一到邓小平同志建设有中国特色的社会主义理论上来,统一到党的“一个中心、两个基本点”的基本路线上来。这是改革开放和现代化建设的强大精神动力和思想保证,也是创造良好社会舆论和社
The Second Plenary Session of the 14th CPC Central Committee recently held pointed out: In order to ensure the smooth progress of reform, opening up and modernization, we must vigorously step up ideological and political work in the new situation. Ideological and political work must be strengthened and must never be relaxed or weakened. The most fundamental thing to do to strengthen ideological and political work in the new situation is to conscientiously study and publicize the spirit of the 14th CPC National Congress, unify the thinking of the entire Party and the people throughout the country with Comrade Deng Xiaoping’s theory of building socialism with Chinese characteristics, and unify with the party The “one center, two basic points” of the basic line up.
