近几年来,由于覆盖地膜具有增温、增光、保水等效应,西瓜地膜覆盖后,提早上市,优质高产,经济效益明显,因此西瓜地膜覆盖栽培面积逐年增多。为了进一步发挥地膜覆盖效应,农七师农科所在西瓜生产实践中,推广改良式地膜覆盖方法。经过几年来在生产实践中应用证明:西瓜改良式地膜覆盖,对预防西瓜出苗后的霜冻天气,保护瓜苗,促进丰产具有明显效果,且操作简便,性能可靠,容易推广。 所谓改良式地膜覆盖,就是对地膜常用的覆盖方法,稍加改进,采用先播种后盖膜,而且播种时,人为地使播种穴低于瓜沟坡面,使每个播穴变成口径8—10厘米,深3—4厘米的“凹”字形小穴,然后覆盖地膜。
