Dance is known as “the mother of art,” which is one of the oldest art forms in mankind. During its long development, many outstanding celebrities emerged: Duncan, Laban, Ulanlova, Dai Ailian and Bai Shuxiang. Many people think that they are “dance geniuses” and are innate dance materials, admiring their accomplishments. Are they really “dance geniuses”? Perhaps they do have superb artistic talent, but their success is not by virtue of talent alone. Edison once said: “Genius is equal to one percent talent, plus ninety-nine percent sweat.” People’s success, talent, the same hard with their hard work and inseparable. In other words, from the point of view of education, we can see from the perspective of psychology that the growth of talented people is not only related to intellectual factors but also closely linked to non-intelligence factors, both of which are necessary conditions for talent cultivation. Next, I would like to make some discussions on the intellectual and non-intellectual factors in the growth of dance talent and their relationship.
