兴隆公社位于绥阳县城东郊。全社有稻田10408亩。该地系属洋川坝子的延伸,山岔多,稻田都在两山沟溪之间。近几年来水稻穗颈瘟发生严重。1981年全社发病面积1000余亩,损失稻谷30多万斤。1982年穗颈瘟流行,成灾面积4170亩,占稻田总面积的40％左右,损失稻谷150多万斤。特别是五星、关外两个大队的1745亩水稻,成灾面积928亩,损失稻谷59万斤。面对病害的严重威胁,我联合防治组于1983年深入到该公社,调查了病害发生
Xinglong commune is located in the eastern suburbs of Suiyang County. The whole community has 10,408 acres of rice fields.
