This paper expounds the role and status of the forest in the environment and its development. It mainly displays in three aspects: the forest is the core of the global ecological environment; the forest is the key to the coordinated and sustainable development of the environment and economy; and the forest is the survival and creation of mankind Civilized basis.The article discusses the international community on the three issues of the research results, conclusions and applications.
