近年来,我们虞城县大侯乡党委、政府在贯彻党的十五大精神过程中,着力抓好自身建设,以实际行动做好减轻农民负担工作,抓好产业结构调整和农村基础设施建设,促进了农村经济发展。一、着力自身建设,塑造公仆形象俗话说:打铁必须自身硬。没有好的素质,就不可能有好的工作方法和工作作风。我们立足本乡实际,总结以往的经验教训,清醒地认识到:只有把自己摆到人民公仆的位置,才能踏踏实实做好本职工作。1999年初,乡党委、政府在全乡开展了“着力自身建设,塑造公仆形象”工程。一是组织全体乡、村干部认真学习中发[1996]13号文件精神和毛泽东同志关于《为人民服务》、《反对自由主义》等光辉篇章,牢固树立全心全意为人民服务的思想。二是学习国家在农村的基本政策,提高干部自身的政治素质和业务素质。乡党委、政府明文规定:不准到农民家中抓猪牵羊,强行收缴财物;不准用专政手段到农民家中催粮要款等。要求大家用党的政策教育群众,说
