SOS Children’s Village is a non-governmental charitable organization. The purpose of the village is to raise and educate orphans on a family basis and to use SOS, a common international distress signal, to call on the whole society to care for and help children who survived the disaster. In 1949, for the children who became orphans of war in World War II, they could have a lifestyle that suits their needs.
