Our recent work shows that after 10 hours of restraint stress, a class of lymphocyte transformation inhibitory factor appears in the serum of rats or mice. After being anesthetized with urethane and other animals, it can completely antagonize the production of serum inhibitory factor, indicating that its production depends on the activity of the central nervous system. Based on the above work, we studied the role of γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) neurons in the production of stress serum inhibitors in the central nervous system.
