Ji cotton 18 (formerly known as hybrid 29) is a cotton variety in Hebei Province using two upland cotton cross-breeding varieties of hybrids. In 1990, it passed the pre-trial of the Hebei Province Variety Approval Committee to grant permission to promote cultivation in withered and Verticillium wilt areas. From 1991 to 1996, it was listed as a promotional item of the provincial government’s instructional promotion and annual increase of more than 1 million yuan. It was listed as a key species of propaganda by the Ministry of Agriculture from 1992 to 1994 and was named in 1993
