Hepatitis G virus (HGV) is a newly discovered virus that may cause hepatitis and it is necessary to study the status of HGV infection and its molecular biology in Chinese population. Using molecular biology and enzyme immunoassay, we analyzed the partial sequences of the 5 ’untranslated region, the former E1 region, the NS3 region and the NS5 region of Chinese HGV. Compared with the HGV American strain, we initially confirmed that HGV is highly evolutionarily Conservative, after different patients HGV NS5 part of the gene sequence
