My Treacher r.
My Treacher r. John C. Green (two articles) is a work completed by the first-year student in the hall. Compared with the published work of the second-year students in this journal, they clearly feel “a little loss of literary grace”. However, their immature writing styles show the basic skills of Wentong Sentence. Ian Wood, an expatriate teacher, reviewed the assignments and attached a brief commentary to the text. The Power of Humour is from the hands of English students and is quite readable. We have the honour to ask Prof. Yang Liyi to comment on it. Prof. Yang, while affirming this work, made a 7-point review of the work with her rigorous academic spirit, which is now published for readers’ reference. At the same time, readers can also understand the different points of attention of foreign teachers and Chinese professors in reviewing student work.
