我场对鄂光棉的提纯复壮,采取三年三圃制生产原种的方法。实践证明,不仅能保持鄂光棉的优良特性,还能在生产上发挥良好的作用。从我们原种比较试验的初步结果看来,原种的优点是“五高”、“两多”。籽棉产量高:我场生产的鄂光棉原种比当地推广的鄂光棉良种(对照)增产28.18%,原种一代也比对照增产21.28%。皮棉产量高:原种比对照增产37.56%,原种一代比对照增产25.37%。出衣率要高:原种衣分40.75%,原种一代40.25%,对照38.00%。单铃重较高:原种单铃重5.1克,原种一代5.0克,对照4.9克。绒长有点高:原种绒长32.2毫米,原种一代32.0毫米,对照32.0毫米。好棉花要多:原种的好花数占91.05%,比对照多28.15%,原种一代好花占88.86%,比对照多18.23%,对照好花只占77.92%。霜前收花多:十月十日前的收花数,原
