压缩语段主要考查考生辨析筛选信息和概括归纳内容要点的能力,一般是对一段话或者一个长句进行提炼或概括,使原来的段落或句子的主旨更显露、更明朗。如对新闻类材料的概括、对议论性文字观点的概括、对说明内容或过程的概括等。近五年来,压缩语段题共考查了28次,常见的出题形式有概括语段类、新闻压缩类、下定义类和提取关键词类。
