6月17日,诺贝尔物理学奖获得者丁肇中教授在山东大学西校区作了“我所经历的实验物理”的精彩演讲,演讲结束后,丁教授又和夫人SusanTing博士匆匆赶到位于南校区的山东大学空间热科学研究中心,与山东大学师生就阿尔法磁谱仪(AMS)项目进行了座谈。山东大学空间热科学研究中心主任、博士生导师程林教授等向丁肇中教授汇报了中心工作人员所承担的AMS项目中的热系统方面的研究进展情况,得知中心已完成了所承担研究工作的三分之一多,预计今年10月份将全部完成热系统的科研工作时,他微笑着说:“做得不错,很不错。”随后,丁肇中教授就AMS项目的相关问题与省科技厅厅长姜代晓,山东大学校长展涛等进行了深入探讨。在短短一年多的时间里,山东大学参加AMS项目取得重要进展,在探索宇宙奥秘的征途上迈出了历史性的一步,并书写了山东国际科技合作的华彩乐章。
