戏迷和老年观众最期盼的就是过年时能看到一台热热闹闹的戏曲晚会。据悉,今年戏曲晚会的主题为“金鸡颂春”,晚会共28个节目,其中以京剧为主。2005年春节戏曲晚会导演谢桂昌介绍,演播室全部改用茶座式观众席,主持人鞠萍、赵保乐、董艺,戏曲名家李世济、梅葆玖、叶少兰、刘长瑜、李维康、尚长荣,演艺明星濮存昕、殷秀梅、于文华会悉数出席。这些明星既是演员又是观众,既演节目又做主持人。据了解,京剧《锁麟囊》、《大登殿》,豫剧《花木兰》、越剧《红楼梦》等经典剧目将再次被演绎,而很多地方戏曲的新剧目也将被搬上舞台。
