各省、自治区、直辖市国土资源厅(国土环境资源厅、国土资源局、国土资源和房屋管理局、房屋土地资源管理局)、中国地质调查局及部其他有关直属单位,部机关各司局：近年来,由于气候异常,暴雨增多,加之人类不合理的工程活动加剧,使我国已成为世界上地质灾害最为严重的国家之一。经过各级国土资源主管部门几年的努力,我国在地质灾害的防灾减灾方面取得了很大成效。为进一步加强地质灾害防治管理工作,激励在地质灾害防治工作中作出突出贡献的单位和个人,充分调动和发挥各级地质环境管理部门、管理工作者和广大干部群众防治地质灾害的积极性和创造性,提高全社会对地质灾害防治工作的重视,推动地质环境管理事业的全面发展,国土资源部拟在2007年上半年对在地质灾害防治工作中作出突出贡献的单位和个人进行表彰。根据《国土资源部表彰奖励暂行办法(试行)》的规定,现将有关具体事项通知如下：
