美国中小学服务学习项目的选择,充分体现了美国基础教育着力培养学生综合性知识及健全人格的特点,常常以环境问题、能源问题、社会问题作为服务项目的主题,并在此过程中强化学生的社区意识和公民意识。这些问题常常与学科教学结合起来,使学生对于所学知识的社会价值有切身的体验和理解。同时,服务学习项目的具体设置要求考虑不同阶段学生的心理特征、思维发展状况、认知水平及学术要求。
The selection of primary and secondary school service learning programs in the United States fully embodies the basic education efforts of the United States in cultivating students ’comprehensive knowledge and personality. It often takes environmental issues, energy issues and social issues as the topics of service projects. In the process, it reinforces students’ Community awareness and civic awareness. These problems are often combined with subject teaching to enable students to have a personal experience and understanding of the social values of the learned knowledge. At the same time, the specific settings of service learning programs require students to consider the psychological characteristics of different stages of the development of thinking, cognitive level and academic requirements.
