According to the WHO collaborative survey with the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, about 20% of school-age children in some developing countries have become real smokers. Surveys conducted in 12 developing countries or countries with economies in transition found that about 25% of children smokers began to get this hobby by the age of 10, with more than two thirds of children trying to quit smoking. Is there a high smoking rate in such a young age group?
