Prime View International Ltd. has developed an LCD driver method that produces sharper and more uniform color images from thin film transistor (TFT) LCDs. The company claims that this new method of driving, known as integrated drive technology, will allow TFT LCDs to have higher resolution than any other active matrix LCD. Dyi-ChungHu, Head of R & D and LCM Manufacturing at Prime View, said: “We are the first company in the world to offer this advanced technology.” This new drive technology has been patented in the United States, Australia and Taiwan and is being patented in Japan and the European Community.
