大学英语的阅读教学工作一直是大学生英语学习的重点和难点。大部分学生付出了较多努力,却没有收到与之对应的回报。究其原因,主要是因为我们在英语学习的过程中一直沿用我国本土文化的思维方式,站在我们的角度去揣摩外国人的想法,这显然是事倍功半的。其实语言是作为文化传播的渠道和载体存在的,我们要想学好一门语言,首先要了解他们的文化和传承,也就是将西方文化渗透到我们的英语学习过程中。当大学英语阅读教学融入西方文化的时候,以西方文化的渗透改变我们在英语阅读中的思维方式,对于英语的教和学都能起到较好的促进作用。
College English reading teaching has always been the focus and difficulty of college English learning. Most students paid more hard work, but did not receive the corresponding return. The reason is mainly because we have always used the way of thinking of our native culture in the process of English learning, and it is obviously more effective to try to figure out the alien’s ideas from our point of view. Actually, language exists as a channel and carrier of cultural transmission. If we want to learn a good language, we must first understand their culture and inheritance, that is, infiltrate Western culture into our English learning process. When college English reading teaching is integrated into western culture, changing our way of thinking in English reading through the infiltration of western culture can play a good role in promoting teaching and learning in English.
