Henry Ron, a professor at Stanford University in the United States, was the chairman of Rand Corporation and the chairman of the U.S. National Defense Commission. Ron in the United States academic, political and military have a greater impact, often for the United States government advice and counsel. According to the author, one of the purposes of this article is to criticize Professor Huntington’s “clash of civilizations”, which is now quite prevalent. Ron believes that as the world economy develops, the gap between developing and developed countries will gradually narrow, more democracies will emerge and the world will become more peaceful. Ron’s point of view reflects the strategic considerations that American strategic thinkers consider for the end of this century and the beginning of the next century.
