Ken Follett’s Fall of the Giants portrays the rise and fall of six families before and after World War I: the FitzHherbert family in Britain, the von Ullrich family in Germany, the Bezkow family in Germany, The Welsh Williams House, the United States Dewar and the Vialov House. The whole story was written from 1911 to 1924. The main characters covered the main countries participating in the First World War (except France) and the U.S.-West War , The British V Coronation, World War I, the October Revolution, the German Emperor abdicated, the Treaty of Versailles, Beer Hall riots and a series of historical events, thanks to his rigorous historical arrangements and ingenious plots, the whole book read down Hearty, but soul-stirring.
