视网膜母细胞瘤蛋白家族包括RB、p107和p130。RB是研究得最为广泛的家族成员,是肿瘤抑制基因。它与其结合蛋白发生作用,如与E2F转录因子结合形成RB-E2F-DNA复合物,则阻止了其它序列特异性的DNA结合蛋白与启动子元件接近,从而抑制基因的转录。 本文分子克隆和鉴定一个新的视网膜母细胞瘤结合蛋白,称“Rim”为蛋白。作者应用修改的酵母双杂交系统筛选所获得的克隆并进行EST同源搜寻,得到了一个包含有3'和5'UTR,编码897个氨基酸
The retinoblastoma protein family includes RB, p107 and p130. RB is the most widely studied family member and is a tumor suppressor gene. It binds to its binding protein, such as the formation of the RB-E2F-DNA complex with the E2F transcription factor, preventing other sequence-specific DNA binding proteins from approaching the promoter element, thereby inhibiting gene transcription. Here we cloned and identified a new retinoblastoma-binding protein called ”Rim" as a protein. The authors used the modified yeast two-hybrid system to screen the obtained clones and perform EST homology search to obtain a clone containing 3 ’and 5’ UTRs encoding 897 amino acids
