With the continuous reform of the new curriculum standard, the traditional teaching model can no longer meet the modern teaching requirements. In order to achieve the goal of English teaching in the new period, teachers need to change the traditional teaching philosophy, adopt the task-based teaching mode, fully respect students ’main body position in the classroom and cultivate students’ self-exploration ability so as to realize the comprehensive English teaching in senior high schools reform. Task-based teaching model belongs to a new teaching method. It mainly combines task and learning activities and adopts inquiry learning to improve students’ interest in learning English.
