××河大桥是成昆铁路线上第一座建成的栓焊梁桥,全长203.4米,两端均与隧道相连,轨底至河底高差70余米。由于桥高,地质复杂,需采用大跨度梁通过,而栓焊梁在制造、施工、养护等方面均较铆接梁为优,故确定在此桥上采用栓焊梁,中孔跨度112米,并设计为系杆拱形式,材料为16锰钢(照片1)。由于采用了新结构、新工艺、新材料,较同跨度的三号钢铆接梁减轻了重量百分之三十,收到了显著的经济效果,至今己通车近8年。1973年经昆明、郑州铁路局等单位进行检定,证明他用情况良好。现将112米系杆拱简述如下。
