Cataracts are the most common cause of blindness. Through extensive research, we will further understand at molecular level the pathogenesis of the disease and further discover drugs to prevent certain cataracts. These findings were reported at a Symposium on Cataracts Formation, London, October 25-27, 1983. Due to the lack of understanding of the physical basis of the transparency of the crystal, hinder the development of cataract formation mechanism. Crystals in the protein if it is irregular distribution, then the crystal will be cloudy. The Paracrystalline Structure does not appear to be crystal clear, as it has been previously thought, but to have a sequence of relatively large distances within the constituent macromolecules (see Nature 1983; 302: 383). damage
