四川汶川县5月12日发生的8.0级强烈地震,其破坏力之强,波及范围之广,为我国几十年来所罕见。痛定思痛,它给了我们很多启示,这里仅谈两点。一是让谣言和恐慌止于信息公开。12日14时46分,国家地震局通过新华社,在第一时间内向社会发布有关地震的权威消息;15时12分新华网发布专题报告《地震应急措施》,国内各主要媒体纷纷开始实时报道震情。与此同时,各省、市、自治区相关部门,通过广播、电视、手机、网络等媒介及时转发权威消息,使谣言不攻自破,有效地消除了民众的恐慌心理,及时稳定了民众的心态。二是城市要多留“生命绿洲”。
