定光佛,即锭光佛、燃灯佛,又称锭光如来、燃灯如来、普光如来、灯光如来。相对于释迦牟尼现世佛,定光佛是过去佛之一,并且在过去诸佛之中最为著名,许多经论以他为中心,论说前后诸佛的出现。如《大阿弥陀佛经》卷上说,定光佛之后有三十三佛;《平等觉经》卷一说有三十八佛。定光佛的梵名是Dipamkāra,巴利语名与梵名相同。Dipamkāra音译名还有提惒
