随着现代社会文明程度的提高,社会生产和生活节奏也日益加快。大街上人们匆匆忙忙的脚步:自动化流水线上弄人快速安装元件的双手;节奏鲜明的摇滚乐伴奏下的快步迪斯科;谈判桌上双方激烈的辩证与智慧的较量都与过去那种悠闲宁静的生活形成了明显的对照。现代生产生活的高效率快节奏,对人们的身体提出了新的挑战。无论是进行南极科学考察,还是北极探险;无论是商务谈判,还是激烈的政治交锋;无论是抗灾抢险,还是日常生产生活,都比以往需要更加旺盛的精力和更加强健的体魄。科学研究证明、人体健康受诸多因素如先天遗传基因、后天营养水平、体育锻炼、生活习惯、卫生条件和其它文化生活方式等等的影响。但是在所有这些因素中,体育锻炼是较为重要的因素,“生命在于运动”;这句话深刻地阐明了体育在促使人体发展和增强体质中的积极作用。
